Are you outside all day?
Bluestone Nature Programs, like many nature-based programs across the country, embraces outdoor learning in all weather. We will be outside for 90-100% of our day, but we do have access to an indoor space.
What are my participation options?
For the 2023/24 year, Bluestone will run from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Families can join the Chickadee class (3 days), Saplings class (M/W), or Nuthatches class (TH).
Does my child need to be potty trained?
Nope! We ask that you change your child's diaper upon arrival and/or encourage them to try the restroom. We will offer toileting time throughout the morning.
Where do you go to the bathroom?
We have access to an indoor restroom connected to our indoor classroom to use at the beginning of each class day. When we're in the forest classroom, we have a pop-up privacy tent and a folding potty. We use compostable potty bags and change bags in between each student. The potty seat is wiped down with sanitizing wipes between each use, and both students and our Lead teacher wash hands after toileting. In the warmer months, students may take advantage of a designated "pee tree" and do a nature potty.

Bluestone Nature Programs plays and learns on the unceded land of our Host Nation peoples, the Munsee Lenape and Mohican.
